The Codeo Group announces the purchase of a 7,200sqm building in Rillieux-la-Pape (69) and plans to create a new "National Cluster for the Circular Economy".

AUGUST 2021

The Codeo Group, a European player specializing in the re-use of professional IT equipment (founded in 2005, 170 employees and sales of 30 million euros in 2020) announces that it has acquired a 7,200sqm building in Rillieux-la-Pape (69) to house the sales, technical and logistics units of its various subsidiaries. Designed as a national center of expertise in reuse and the circular economy, the new site will also accommodate 2 partners specializing in reuse and integration, and will be operational by January 2022.

8 million investment to support European companies in their circular economy challenges

Since the Group was founded in 2005, and more than ever in recent years, businesses have been looking for sustainable and responsible solutions to support their ecological transformation.

Thanks to its expertise in professional IT equipment and in all the services that accompany the life of IT fleets (trade-in of unused equipment, sale of reconditioned equipment, maintenance, rental), the Codeo Group responds to these issues and facilitates the daily life of key accounts by offering a short-circuit circular economy at local level and as close as possible to its French and European customers.

As part of its expansion and to meet the growing needs of key accounts, the Codeo Group has acquired a 7,000m2 building in the Perica zone, between Caluire and Rillieux-la-Pape (69).

By January 2022, this site will house the technical and logistics teams of its Codeo and Remober subsidiaries, as well as part of its sales and support teams.

3 Rhone-Alpes players for a national circular economy cluster

With the acquisition of this building, the Codeo Group will be welcoming 2 other players in the social and circular economy who, thanks to their know-how and complementarity, will be creating a national skills cluster around reuse and the circular economy.

“For this project, the Codeo Group wanted to join forces with partners who share our values of social inclusion, regional development and a more sustainable, responsible economy. That’s why Ecodair and Envie, with whom we’ve been working for several years now, have joined us! Our aim: to create a consortium with a national reach around reuse and the circular economy, by bringing together under one roof a complete ecosystem: environmental, social and economically sustainable”. François Amiot, co-founder of Groupe Codeo.

Ecodair: National adapted company specializing in the reconditioning of IT equipment.

Envie Rhône-Alpes : Recognized Rhône-Alpes player in social entrepreneurship, specializing in the dismantling and recycling of IT and electronic equipment (WEEE).
