Ecovadis, an independent international player in CSR performance evaluation

ÉcoVadis is a French organization with an international presence, specializing in the assessment of corporate performance with reference to various current corporate social responsibility (CSR) standards, such as ISO 26000, the Global Reporting Initiative and the United Nations Global Compact.

Since its creation in 2007, EcoVadis has assessed over 100,000 companies in more than 175 countries, contributing to the global recognition of companies’ CSR performance. This assessment enables us to identify committed partners in over 200 different sectors.

The assessment takes multiple criteria into account, providing an objective and exhaustive diagnosis of company performance. Based on policies, actions and results, the EcoVadis model highlights companies that set clear objectives and implement concrete actions to achieve them.

Four pillars, one objective: to do even better in terms of Corporate Social Responsibility!

The EcoVadis assessment groups Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) actions into four pillars: environment, social and human rights, ethics and responsible purchasing.

The environmental pillar at Codeo Group

This pillar is closely linked to our core business. At Codeo Group, we are committed to reducing the environmental impact of digital products by promoting reconditioning and reuse. In addition, we are taking steps to minimize our own environmental footprint, including:

  1. Reducing our carbon footprint in transport through the Fret 21 program.
  2. Promoting short supply chains.
  3. Reuse of waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) to recondition obsolete equipment.
  4. Responsible management of hazardous and non-hazardous waste, in partnership with certified eco-organizations.

The social and human rights pillar at Codeo Group

We attach great importance to the well-being of our employees. The absenteeism rate among our employees is practically zero, which testifies to our commitment to their well-being.

We believe in the power of teamwork, and value each and every employee by implementing :

  1. Flexible working hours to promote work-life balance, including telecommuting and the possibility of a four-day week for certain positions requiring physical presence.
  2. A cross-functional, local management system, where employees are encouraged to play an active part in the company’s continuous improvement via our IAS (Improvement Action Sheet) process.
  3. Strict safety regulations to ensure the physical and psychological safety of all our employees.

The ethical pillar

Our CSR charter encompasses all our policies and actions in terms of :

  1. Fight against corruption.
  2. Appropriate management of confidential data in compliance with the RGPD.
  3. Ensuring well-being in the workplace through our internal alert procedure for reporting any unprofessional behavior or harassment.

The Responsible Purchasing pillar

We are committed to working with suppliers who share our environmental and social values. This approach is closely monitored to establish a climate of trust with all our stakeholders, notably through a responsible purchasing charter.

Thanks to this assessment, Codeo and Remober have identified areas for improvement, both in terms of their policies and the measures already in place. In 2023, the entire company is committed to pursuing this continuous improvement approach, in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
